Matthew DeJohn, M.D.

Adult/Adolescent ADHD/ADD Clinic

We provide services for the diagnosis and treatment of Adult Attention Deficit-Hyperactivity Disorder, both in-office and online. We also assess and treat adolescent ADHD. We combine the expertise of both a Psychiatrist (medical doctor) and a Ph.D. level Neuropsychologist (Dr. Renata Harland) in the same practice to provide comprehensive diagnostic and treatment options for a wide range of clients, such as grade school, high school, and college students, working professionals, or any other individual who may be suffering from undiagnosed or untreated ADHD.  Please read below and contact our office if you are either a potential patient or a provider requiring assistance.

ADHD Signs and Symptoms

The symptoms of Attention Deficit-Hyperactivity Disorder span a wide range including but not limited to: difficulty focusing on and completing tasks, easily losing items and frequently being late to work/appointments, difficulties with academic achievement, hyperactivity (restlessness, inability to sit still) impulsivity ('acting before thinking', frequently interrupting others), difficulties with sleep and racing thoughts, etc.  Untreated ADHD can put individuals at risk for substance use, difficulties managing relationships, work difficulties, educational problems, and overall functioning.  It is a serious problem affecting many adults across all spheres of society.

Evaluation and Treatment

If you believe you might have some of the aforementioned symptoms or issues related to ADHD then a thorough psychiatric evaluation is the first place to begin.  We can determine, both by going through your history and your current functioning, if you likely do have ADHD and if medications and/or behavioral techniques might benefit your symptoms.  Additionally, we provide the option of Neuropsychological Testing which provides another level of data to help determine if treatment for Adult ADHD is appropriate for you.  Neuropsychological Testing is not mandatory, but some patients feel the quantitative data it can provide helps assure them of their diagnosis and response to treatment.

Initial Psychiatric ADHD Evaluation: $150

Follow-up Appointments: $95

Neuropsychological Testing could very well be covered by your health insurance, and we can help you determine if there are any additional costs associated with this (this will depend on your particular health insurance coverage).

To schedule an appointment, please either visit the Appointments page of our website or contact our office at 814-823-5640.
